What's New?
GA EPD sub-awarded 5 ARRA DERA projects. These projects were awarded to Banks, Cherokee, Houston, Jackson, and Muscogee county schools. Each school has awarded vendors to retrofit their school buses with diesel particulate filters. This will reduce the output of particulate matter emissions by at least 85% for each bus retrofitted. The projects are as follows:
-
Banks County – They have ordered their 16 DPF and expect them to be on by the end of August.
-
Cherokee County – Are in the process of deciding which equipment to use as the partial flow through filters were de-verified. They will use DPFs, but it is unknown how many at this time.
-
Houston – Has ordered their 12 DPF/CCF and they will be installed by mid August.
-
Jackson County - Will have their 18 DPFs installed by the beginning of September.
-
Muscogee County - Will retrofit 37 buses with DPF by the end of August.
