2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grants for Truck Stop Electrification in Georgia
EPD was awarded $748,000 through the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to install Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) in Georgia to reduce diesel emissions associated with idling of long-haul trucks. This funding must be used to electrify parking at three or more different truck stops in Georgia. Click here to link to additional information about this grant.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) board specified the eligibility and selection criteria according to 391-3-21-.11.

The 1st request for applications (RFA) closed on November 2, 2009. Shorepower’s woodbine project was selected, which will include electrification of 36 parking places. The project will cost a total of $309,640 and the grant will fund up to $223,140.
The 2nd RFA was issued on June 14, 2010 and will close on July 19, 2010.
July 12, 2010 is the last day for TSE vendors to ask questions.
